Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Therapeutic massage is customized to your needs based on the therapist's specific trainings anywhere from trigger point therapy to a paramedical treatment that helps to restore function to injured "soft tissues" (muscles, tendons and ligaments). Therapy may involve the use of various types of Massage, as well as a range of other physical treatments to assist your recovery. In addition, you may be asked to perform some activities at home to assist the process of recovery.

Thai Yoga Massage is performed fully clothes on a futon mat on the floor. This massage facilitates and promotes a harmonious state of being by incorporating mindfulness, gentle rocking, deep stretching, and rhythmic compression to create a unique healing experience. We focus on creating energy and creating wholeness of mind, body, and spirit, in the client and practitioner.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage — to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and simply make you feel good. But it is also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and therapists who are trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly.
Must be in 2nd or 3rd trimester. If pregnancy is considered high risk, we will need a doctors note. Certain conditions may require avoidance of massage all together. Call ahead to be sure.
